Eh? Okay. The door's open, Kai, so just come on in.

[ After several days of searching high and low for ingredients to make a cake, Kai finally collected enough of them and managed to whip up a fairly decent cake. On top of that, there's a pie in his other hand. Going out of the apartment and to the adjacent one, Kai knocks on the door upon arrival. ]

It's me, Kinomiya. Open up.

[ Takao, who was on the couch at that time cleaning Dragoon, got up and walked over to the door. ]

You couldn't have opened it yourself, Kai?

[ he has opened the door, but since his eyes were busy watching him pocket his Beyblade, he wasn't looking at Kai and what he was holding as he spoke ]

My hands are full, idiot, unless if you're fond of a broken door for your apartment.

[ A small smile crossed Kai's lips, even as he said that. ]

...Happy birthday, Kinomiya.

[ He presented the cake and the pie for him, looking away pointedly. ]

[ With a confused look, Takao looked up at his friend, now seeing the cake and pie that his friend had in his friends. He couldn't believe that Kai of all people was presenting him such gift. Alas, a bit grin appeared on his face. ]

Oh wow! Is this really for me, Kai?! Thanks!

[ He then takes both the Pie and the Cake from Kai's hands ]

Did you make these yourself?

[ Dropping his arms to his sides as Takao takes the pie and cake from him, Kai crossed his arms over his chest, simply nodding. ]

The pie was a gift, but I managed to get enough ingredients for the cake.

[...] There's also something else I want to give you, but that's after you eat your cake.

[ Takao looks at his friend confused, and then smiles ]

Alright! Come on in, Kai! Don't you want to know what your cake tastes like?

Sure, whatever.

[ Kai walks in, with his scarf following behind him. ]

Have any plates and silverware?

I think we do.

[ Takao puts both the Pie and the Cake on the table, and goes into the kitchen. They have very few plates and silverware, but all of it is dirty. Takao has yet to take his turn in cleaning them ]

They're all dirty.

Mm... hold on.

[ He goes out of the apartment, then goes back into his own. Fetching a few plates and silverware that have been cleaned off since their last use, he also grabs a wrapped present in nothing but blankets. Then, he walks back into Takao's apartment, handing over two plates and some silverware. ]

[ Takao impatiently waits, as he wants to dig into the cake and pie. When Kai got back, he took the plates and silverware, putting them down and cutting out two piece. A smallish piece for Kai, and of course, a huge piece for himself. He then gives Kai his piece ]

Here you are, Kai!

[ Kai takes the piece of cake that Takao cut for him with a nod of thanks. ]

Eat up.

[ He takes a fork and then starts to eat his cake. ]

[ Takao's face was plastered with a big smile as he took his first bite. ]

Mm, this is good!

[ He continues to eat the piece, until it's all gone ]

I never knew how well you can make cake, Kai!

[ It's hard for Kai to hold in his smile at this point, but that'd be giving in. Must remain strong!

He takes his fork, cutting in to the piece of cake Takao cut for him and a smile leaks onto his face as he tastes how good it is. ]

Mm... you're right, Kinomiya. It is good.

[ Getting up, Takao goes back into the kitchen to get this time a piece of Pie ]

You should try cooking things more often, Kai!

[ He cut a big slice of pie for himself, putting it on his plate. he then looks over at his friend. ]

You want to try the pie, Kai?

Hmph. I'm not that great of a cook.

[ Kai finishes his piece of cake, but after he hears Takao's question, he thinks upon it. ]

All right. Give me a slice.

[ As he says that, he gets up from his position and walks into the kitchen. ]

Better cook than Hiromi..! [ Not a big compliment, considering that Hiromi isn't a good cook at all, but it was a compliment nonetheless]

One slice coming right up!

[ he then cut a piece for Kai, putting it on his plate after his friend had arrived in the kitchen ]

[ Kai picks up on the compliment, but gives off a small 'hmph' in response. He does nod when he gets the compliment, though, eating it down. ]

[ Takao gave out a small chuckle to Kai's hmph, before settling down with his pie. He then takes a bite out of it ]

Mmmmm, this Pie is great as well!
