[fifty-sixth launch -- accidental video]

[ Even before the camera turns on, something seems to be wrong. Maybe it’s the irritated, bestial growling that gives it away, or maybe the sound of something wet and distressingly fleshy tearing and ripping apart. A talon crunches over the communicator’s camera, marking it with blood, and knocking it away onto its side. Rust-colored hide flickers past, a glimpse of bloodied claws--

There's the sound of someone trying their hardest to not scream, but the pain is maddening and the scream sound vaguely like those of Kai's, if anyone heard him scream. They only quiet down after quite a long struggle. What's left is his clothes torn all up to hell, a beyblade on its' side and a pissed off vermilion bird.

For this attack, she lets out a cry before growling at the attacker, not holding back in her fire assault.

Meanwhile, parts of Kai's body have been flung around. Feel free to find either his arm, leg, or his torso. ]

[Meryl follows him in that quiet way a person does when they're too shocked or tired to think of anything on their own. He remembers to message Terence...and then everything goes mercifully blank in his mind. ]

[ This entire event has definitely wracked Suzaku up. She's been mostly sitting on the outskirts of Discedo attacking the sky with fireballs. All she wants is her beyblader, nothing more. She would bring him back to life, but even she can sense something's blocking her from doing that.

So, she takes to the skies and eventually stumbles upon Gyatso's apartment, cawing in sadness. ]

Yay, the chaperone has arrived! Just in time!

[Gyatso doesn't know Suzaku, and blinks when he hears a caw. It sounds so sad. Just like Meryl is now...]

Suzaku...?

[She's at the window, isn't she? Meryl sort of wanders over there, and opens it enough for her to peek in.]

[ Suzaku's eyes widen at seeing Meryl and she anxiously claws at the window until Meryl lets her in. Well, she lowers her head and gets a look around.

She caws as if saying, "Can I stay here?" Her feathers are quite... ruffled. ]

[Gyatso blinks in surprise, then glances to Meryl.]

Suzaku?

[Aka, I don't know what the heck is going on anymore.]

[Meryl is looking vaguely surprised too...or maybe just out of it. He reaches out to stroke Suzaku's feathers.]

Kai's....phoenix.

[The other explanation for her escapes him. All that's important is that it's Kai's....and she must be upset...]

[Comfort, is the word, but he doesn't get it out. Gyatso will understand him anyway because he can read his mind, right?]

[ Suzaku would caw happily at the petting, but it's a morose caw. She's stricken by grief, and would like nothing more than Kai to be alive. ]

[Gyatso doesn't need to hear the rest, understanding what Meryl means. He reaches out to stroke her as well, but with the back of his fingers and hand. The monk speaks quietly.]

It's better for her feathers to use the back of your hand....

[ The way that Gyatso is petting her is the way Kai usually does. She caws, but moves to gently nudge Meryl's and Gyatso's hands. ]
